  • TeenChats APS Offers Teen Chats for Students in the Class of 2015 and 2016

    APS is providing an opportunity for juniors and seniors to participate in a series of three "Teen Chats" to talk about topics that young adults may face and to help teens prepare for life after high school.  The sessions are for students only, but families are encouraged to talk with their students after the sessions.  A "Please Hear Me Out" card has been developed as a way to help families get these important conversations started -- Click Here to print a copy of the card.

  • APS to Host Community Meetings on Capacity Solutions for Swanson and Williamsburg

    The public is invited to attend one of two community forums on interim options to address capacity issues at Swanson and Williamsburg Middle Schools between September 2016 and September 2019. The meetings are scheduled for June 15 and June 17. (More)

  • Community Forum to Discuss Site Selection for New South Arlington Elementary School Set

    The Arlington School Board invites the community to a public forum on Tue, June 9, at 7 pm at the Arlington Career Center. The focus of the meeting will be to discuss the process to select a site for a new neighborhood elementary school in South Arlington. (More) (Español)

  • SRO Video SRO Spring Initiative and Video

    Recently, the Arlington County Police Department announced their 2015 Spring Initiative which is an extension of the day-to-day relationship our schools have with the police and involves increased visibility in the community.   • Celebration of Excellence APS to Host "A Celebration of Excellence"

    APS is hosting its annual "Celebration of Excellence" recognizing the 2015 APS Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year and Support Employees of the Year on Wed, May 27. The reception 6:30 and the program begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at Washington-Lee High School.
