Special Olympics in Arlington has the need for volunteers!
Coaching - they would like people who can commit to 1 night/wk between now and March.  Assisting with tournaments -Usually have 3 tournaments between Jan-Mar and need help with time and score keeping, chasing errant balls, etc. Tournaments run between 9-4 or 9-5 on Saturdays or Sundays. They look for a 4- hour commitment from volunteers.  Interested?

Adapted Aquatics
Help individuals with disabilities learn to swim by being a buddy, providing one on one assistance. Commitment to the entire session (9 weeks) is preferred.  Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age.  Email prcrvolunteer@arlingtonva.us to get more information.
 
 
Community Awareness Team for Teens (C.A.T.T) -  This is an Arlington wide team for high school students who want to get involved and make a difference in the Arlington Community.  Northern Virginia Conservation Trust (NVCT)
 At NVCT students will engage in conserving the environment, such as trees, streams, plants, etc. NVCT is currently offering volunteer opportunities. Greenbrier Learning Center
Have a few hours to spare each week or month? Volunteers are needed at the Greenbrier Learning Center to tutor 3rd-5th graders, spend time with children while parents are at workshop, lead a workshop, translate documents into Spanish or interpret at a parent work shop and assist with administrative duties and much more!
