Welcome to Hoffman-Boston!

Dear All Star Families,

On behalf of the Hoffman-Boston PTA, we welcome you to another fantastic school year!

This is your formal invitation to become involved with the PTA(Parent Teacher Association),

a partnership between parents, teachers, and staff.

This year we hope to:

Increase participation of parents, teachers and staff members.
Offer a variety of family events to help build community between all members of the school.
Raise funds through donations and fundraising to support activities offered by the school.
Support parents by offering workshops designed to help with parenting skills and

understanding your role in your child's education.
Develop and implement in-school programs for students, teachers and staff to increase school spirit.
Include more parents on committees so you feel more connected with the school community.
Provide more meetings that focus on issues that concern you and your children (the 3rd Tuesday of each month).
Provide opportunities for parents/guardians to work closely with classroom teachers and specialists (as room parents
on field trips, as volunteers for special programs and more).
Help students and parents become partners in learning.
Open lines of communication between school and home so you feel comfortable coming
into the school to raise concerns, ask questions, volunteer, offer praise and express gratitude for a job well done.
Work collaboratively to showcase the best that Hoffman-Boston has to offer.
Increase our visibility in the community and across the County.

We look forward to a productive school year, and we need your help to be successful.

Please formally join the PTA by completing the membership application and submitting your dues.

Remember that your participation is key and that we all have something very unique to offer.

Hoffman-Boston and the Arlington View neighborhood have a rich history.

Let's embrace it, build onto it and share the "good news."
