4th Grade

 Ms. Allen

Greetings! My name is Courtney Allen and I am a fourth grade classroom teacher at Barrett Elementary. This is my eighth year teaching in Arlington Public Schools and my third year being a part of our fabulous school community. I have truly appreciated being a part of it all!

Although I moved all over Europe and the United States as a child, I currently call Arlington my home. I attended many schools here and abroad before attending New York University as an undergraduate and receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Media and Communications. I then went on to do my graduate work in Multicultural Education at George Mason University.

I am passionate about the education of young people. I do my best to reach very child and guide them towards their own personal success. I look forward to working with your children and their families this year as we strive for high achievement for every student!

 Mr. Littman
I am the fourth grade resource teacher at Barrett and have worked with students in 3rd and 4th grade since 2001.  I received my bachelors in Psychology and Economics from the University of Maryland and then went on to graduate school for a teaching degree, receiving my masters in teaching in 1997 from Goucher College.  Go Gophers!  I spent my first four years  teaching at Garfield Elem. in Fairfax working with students in grades three through six.  Then came the day when I saw a job posting at Barrett and I was excited to work in my own backyard. Since that day I have loved working with Barrett's diverse and warm community.  I have been honored to be the patrol sponsor and a member of the school's Outdoor Classroom committee for several years.  I enjoy reading, teaching, searching for treasure and sports.

 Ms. Toussant
Hi, my name is Molly Toussant. I moved to Northern Virginia from Denver, Colorado, where I taught 5th grade for seven years and received my Master's Degree in English, Teaching Writing. I was born and raised in Ohio (where I taught kindergarten-first grade for a year before heading west), so I love spending time watching the Ohio State Buckeyes on the weekends. I also enjoy running, writing every day, reading, and visiting the museums and monuments in the area. I'm looking forward to another great year in fourth grade!

Ms. Wisely
Hello! My name is Lauren Wisely, and I am a fourth grade teacher at Barrett.  I recently graduated from Wake Forest University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Math and Computer Science.  I moved to Northern Virginia after living in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for the past few years.  However, I am a Virginia native, originally from Staunton, and I am happy to be back in my home state!   Some of my favorite activities include running, dancing, and cooking.  I look forward to another wonderful year in fourth grade!
