Cecilia Bonifaz

My name is Cecilia Bonifaz. I am from Peru. I have been working at Barrett since 1999 and for five years, I worked as a Family Program Coordinator with our diverse families. I am very happy to be teaching in the First Language Support (FLS) program where I use my bilingual skills, English and Spanish - to support my students in their learning. I graduated from George Mason University in 2006 with a MD in Multicultural and Multilingual Education. It's very exciting for me to be part of this wonderful first grade teacher's team and to work directly with our students.

Savannah Powell

Hi!! My name is Savannah Powell. I graduated with my BS in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University in 2009 and with my M.Ed from the University of West Alabama in 2012. In May of 2012, I earned my Education Specialist degree. I have been teaching since 2009. I am a native of Meridian,MS, but now a proud resident of Arlington, VA since July 2010:) . This is my fourth year teaching eager first graders. I absolutely adore them, and I look forward to another exciting year of teaching and learning!
