Jefferson’s Community Garden Featured on Green Scene

This week’s episode of Green Scene features the Jefferson Middle School Community Garden. The garden was started three years ago by a Girl Scout troop.

Teachers have used the garden to create a unique learning experience for students. Parents, staff and students have been able to provide their input to help create the master plan for the garden. The school donates the produce to Arlington Food Assistance Center.

You can see “Green Scene” on Comcast Cable Channel 70 and Verizon FiOS Channel 41. “Green Scenes” will air twice a month during the school year. Green Scene airs weekly at 7 p.m. and may also run at additional times as scheduling allows. Green Scene can also be viewed on youtube.
