Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)

Welcome to the Wakefield PTSA!

A special welcome to our Freshman families, Class of 2019! The Wakefield High School PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) not only provides support for Wakefield, but is active in helping Wakefield and the community. The Wakefield PTSA seeks to support and enhance the educational experience for all Wakefield students by playing an active role in the partnership between Wakefield, its families, and the community at large.

Le damos una bienvenida especial a las nuevas familias de los "Freshman," (clase de 2019 de Wakefield). El PTSA de Escuela Wakefield (Asociación de Padres, Maestros y Estudiantes) brinda apoyo y ayuda a Wakefield y a su comunidad. LaPTSA de Wakefield busca apoyar y mejorar la experiencia educativa para todos los estudiantes en Wakefield, tomando un papel activo en fortalecer la colaboración entre Wakefield, nuestras familias y la comunidad en general. Esperamos que nos ayuden a crear un año escolar productivo y maravilloso.

PTSA Meeting Dates

All PTSA meetings are usually held the second Monday of the month in Room A-134 at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Wakefield also has representatives on the South Arlington Working Group (SAWG). One of the sites being considered to house the new elementary school is on the Wakefield campus, on the practice field across from Claremont Elementary. For additional information on the sample site studies, meeting minutes and other documents, visit the APS South Arlington Working Group page.
Wakefield is represented by: Alicia Cackley (voting member); Kathleen McSweeney, (alternate member) and Henok Waltengus, Wakefield Alum Class of 2014. Our PTA President, Kate Van Slyck, also attends the meetings and is closely following the conversation.

It only costs $15.00 per year, but makes a huge difference to the school! Checks can be made out to "Wakefield PTA" and either dropped off at the main office or mailed to:
