• Arlington Family Network
  Arlington Public Schools (APS) PTAs, through their family network committees, have a long history of presenting speakers on issues of importance to parents. (Have speaker ideas? Volunteer at your school's PTA!) The PTAs work with the Arlington Partnership for Children, Youth and Families and the APS Department of Student Services to bring the best speakers to Arlington. We add sessions all year long.
  
  
• APS School Talk
  Arlington Public Schools keeps in touch with parents and the community through our messaging system, APS School Talk (administered by the vendor AlertNow). If you are a parent of a student in Arlington Public Schools, you are automatically signed up for School Talk when you fill out the registration forms in your First-Day Packet. The best way to ensure that your School Talk account is correct is to accurately complete your First-Day Packet forms, online or on paper. Community members (without children in the school system) may also sign up for School Talk to receive messages about the school district or specific schools.
  
  
• County Council of PTAs (CCPTA)
  The CCPTA comprises local PTA units from 22 elementary schools, 5 middle schools and 3 high schools located in Arlington County. Organized under the authority of the Virginia PTA, our mission is to promote the goals of PTA - supporting and speaking on behalf of children in our schools, helping parents to be effective guardians and role models for their children, and encouraging greater parental involvement at the school level.
