“An energetic and dedicated volunteer, Mrs. Bostick was a driving force in the successful implementation and execution of Recruiting Command’s Family support programs. Her contributions to spouse forums and pre-command courses provided newly assigned spouses with invaluable information, training and mentorship. Her enthusiasm, determination, and concern for others exemplified the true spirit of the military spouse as she worked to help the Army take care of its own. Mrs. Bostick’s efforts have enhanced all aspects of the Family support system, and her outstanding achievements are a great credit to her, Recruiting Command, and the United States Army.”
The award consists of a medal, lapel button and certificate. The certificate was issued by the Secretary of the Army, Pete Geren, and the award is second in rank only to the Distinguished Civilian Service Decoration.
