The Kindergarten classes at Randolph as IB learners have recently been inquiring into “Me and My Community”. Each class constructed their own community: Irbyville, Kinderland, and Sweetville. The communities were created using different material from each class. Ibryville was created using Legos. Kinderland was created using paper and crayons. And Sweetville was created using recyclables. Ideas of what a community should have were generated from the students’ knowledge of their own wants and needs.
