Meet the Nottingham Counselors

Dr. McCormac is a full-time professional school counselor who has worked in Arlington County for the past 22 years. Dr. McCormac has a Ph.D. from St. Louis University in Education (Counseling), she is licensed by the State of Virginia, and she is a National Board Certified Counselor and a National Board Certified Teacher (School Counseling). She came to Nottingham at the start of the 2007-2008 school year. Dr. McCormac has served on the boards of several counseling associations. She has presented at many conferences for counselors and is a published author. She lives in Falls Church with her husband and two children. Dr. McCormac will work with grades 1, 2, 4, and 5.  Dr. McCormac's normal working hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday.  Parents/guardians should feel free to call or email for an appointment.  Due to the confidential nature of counseling we prefer to speak to parents in person or by phone, 703-228-2302.

Ms. Bresnahan is the part-time professional school counselor at Nottingham. Ms. Bresnahan graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2007 with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies. She worked for a non-profit before returning to school to pursue a Masters Degree in School Counseling from George Washington University. She is licensed by the State of Virginia. Ms. Bresnahan will work primarily with kindergarten and third grade. Ms. Bresnahan is at Nottingham all day on Thursdays and Fridays.
