Anytime, Anywhere Training
on Windows 7 and Office 2010
We all learn in different ways, and we all need to learn different things. Anytime, Anywhere Training gives you the opportunity to choose how you want to learn.
Ways You Can Learn
Orientation [REQUIRED] - every employee who uses an APS computer is required to attend a one-hour Orientation about the new Platform. Employees using Windows computers will attend a Windows 7 Orientation. Employees using Macintosh computers will attend a Macintosh OS Orientation. At the end of the Orientation you should have enough information to be able to go to work on your updated or new computer.
Extend Your Learning
You can choose...
Learn as you go while you ask questions and look up answers... The
Anytime, Anywhere Site compiles videos, handouts, and mini-courses about Windows 7, Outlook and Office 2010. [Macintosh materials to be included August 2011]
Learn through viewing comprehensive videos from Atomic Learning. In Atomic Learning, search for the topic of your choice. The brief videos (3-5 minutes) demonstrate how to do common tasks. Selected Atomic Learning videos are also included on the Anytime, Anywhere Site. When you are using a computer inside an APS building, you will not need to log in to Atomic Learning to view the videos. Contact your ITC or TSS to arrange for an account to view an Atomic Learning video from another location.
Hands-on Workshops -- Learn in a traditional technology hands-on workshop, taught by APS ITC and TSS. See schedule below.
Mini-session Webinars -- Learn how to do specific tasks while online with an instructor using GoToMeeting or Collaborate webinar tools. Schedule to be announced.
