Hours & Days of Operation

All Extended Day Programs follows the Arlington Public School calendar specific to their site. 

The Program does not operate on school holidays, Parent-Teacher conference days, Teacher Workdays and when school is closed due to an emergency or for inclement weather. It is also closed during Winter and Spring breaks.

Additionally, for elementary students, summer service is available in conjunction with the Arlington Public Schools’ summer programs. The elementary school programs are open each day from 7 a.m. until school begins. The after school session begins upon school dismissal and closes at 6 p.m.

The Middle School Check-In Programs do not have a before school session. The after school program operates from school dismissal and closes at 6 p.m.

Delayed Openings/and Unscheduled Closings:

When the schools announce a delayed opening, the before school Extended Day starting time is delayed by the same amount of time. 

If schools close earlier than the regularly scheduled time, the after school Extended Day/Check-In programs will close at 4 p.m.

When Arlington Public Schools are closed due to an emergency or inclement weather, Extended Day/Check-In is closed.
