  • La Fête de la Gastronomie:

On Friday, September 25, the Wakefield French departmentteamed up with APS Food Services to celebrate la Fête de la Gastronomie. This French government sponsored festival  (September 25-27) is celebrated throughout many regions in France, and now, at Wakefield!  Students have been busy making posters and menus for this event.  The cafeteria served French food for both breakfast and lunch on this day. For breakfast, croissants and yogurts were added to the online menu.  For lunch, the menu included: Ratatouille, Dijon chicken, and Pizza à la baguette.  Sides included French-style haricots verts, salade verte, and brown rice.  As of September 20, Wakefield High School is one of eighteen locations in the United States to be officially celebrating this festival through registration with the Government of France.
